About Us

Midwest Contractors, Inc. has been in business since 1980 and is currently owned by Bodie Cooper.  We are a family oriented company that specializes in Fiber Optic Telecommunications.  We provide service to Telephone Cooperatives and Independent Telephone Companies.  We currently have a great staff comprised of 28 full-time employees.

We are located in Northwest Kansas and have done work all over the State of Kansas as well as many other states in the Midwestern United States.  Midwest Contractors, Inc. takes pride in the workmanship, professionalism, and job completion we provide to our customers, and we look forward to serving the Telecommunications needs of our clients in the future.

Our Services

  • Buried & underground telecommunications construction

    Crews will place buried optical cable using trenchless technologies and also the traditional methods such as digging and plowing.

  • Splicing, testing, & cutover of fiber

    Our crews will splice the optical cable together. Once this is completed we test to ensure the overall loss does not exceed the jobs parameters. Once the splicing and testing has been completed the subscribers are then ready to be cutover onto the new plant. Our crews will place new cable, or in some instance re-use existing cable to meet the demands of the Fiber Optic technology.
